Rock giants Diamond Head are set to play in Shildon as part of a music festival at the Civic Hall.
The event, entitled ‘Blitzallica’, is taking place on Saturday 25th October, between 4pm and midnight, in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
The band are renowned in the world of rock for having a major influence over Metallica, who openly acknowledge them as an important early influence and have covered Diamond Head songs such as “Sucking My Love”, “Am I Evil” and “The Prince”.
Other acts performing on the day include London bikers’ favourites Dumpy’s Rusty Nuts, all female band The Amourettes, local band The Side Project, pagan rockers Old Corpse Road and, reforming for a one off show, Holosade.
Completing the bill is Randy Mandy’s Disco.
Tickets are on sale now costing £20 and are available from the Civic Hall.
