Saint John’s Church demonstrated its generosity once again last week as members held a collection in support of the creativity of the young people of Shildon.
Jubilee band stalwarts Natalie and Nichola Jackson were delighted to receive the cheque from Revd. David, with the money going towards the cost of uniforms.
Revd David commented, “Young people are not just our future but our present, we want them to know that our community is proud of them and a great way of showing that is by supporting their hard work. The church wants every member of our community, young and old, to flourish and if we can help that in some way, we will.”
