Ferryhill Town Council would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and supported this year’s Summer Gala.
Despite the weather, the event proved hugely popular, with residents and visitors turning out to enjoy all of the attractions that were on offer.
The town council would like to say a special thank you to all stall holders, Turner’s Show Rides, Salus Medical, children’s entertainer Mr Windbags, face painter Dawn Belshaw, Bubbleologist Richard Shaw, Mascots R Us and of course everyone who came along to join in the fun and/or took part in the children’s fancy dress competition.
A big ‘congratulations’ goes to Alba Anderson who came first in the competition and received a voucher for £25 and also to the runners up, who also received vouchers.
Mayor, Councillor Angus Ferguson said “It was great to see such a fantastic turn out at this year’s Summer Gala.
“The event, which has been running for 25 years has grown in popularity and I am over the moon to have held a stall at the event, which managed to raise £106 in aid of my chosen charities for the year – Little Treasures Autism Charity and Stray Aid.”
