The Annual Town Quiz organised by Bishop Auckland Civic Society took place at Bishop Auckland Rugby Club earlier this month.
A total of 15 teams took part and, along with the winning team, Back for Another Go, helped raise the sum of £765 for a local charity.
Enigmatic quiz master, Glynn Wales once again presided over an enjoyable and taxing event.
A spokesperson said: “Thanks go to the many local businesses and individuals who provided items for the Grand Raffle, to Chris and Theo Hunt for setting the music quiz, and to those members who acted as ‘gophers’ on the evening.
“Special thanks must go to Donna, Dan and the staff from the Rugby Club for permitting the society to use the premises free of charge, which will allow Butterwick Hospice, this year’s agreed charity, to benefit in full from the full total raised.”
