PCC secretary steps down

Patricia-NashNine years ago, the then Vicar of Saint John’s Church, Revd Raymond Cuthbertson, persuaded Patricia Nash to take over the key role of secretary of the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

“Just a couple of months is all we need,” Revd. Raymond promised.

Nine years later Patricia has finally stepped down.

Over the years she has coped with two periods of Saint John’s being without a Vicar.

During those years much of the parish organisation fell on her shoulders. She supported the Reverend Rupert Kalus during his years there, and more latterly has worked with Revd. David playing a major role in easing the transition.

Whilst remaining a member of the PCC, Saint John’s wanted to express their appreciation of her service, presenting her with a bouquet on Sunday 1st December, as a token of their thanks.

“The whole parish owes Patricia, though after nine years perhaps it is time for a cup of tea!” said Revd. David.
