The popular Parklife programme with sport sessions for all the family is back after a winter break.
Parklife takes place at several indoor venues across Bishop Auckland, Crook and Shildon with activities ranging from football and cricket to archery and boot camps.
Some activities will be free for the first session and others may have no charge for parents so the whole family can get involved.
Activities at Sunnydale Leisure Centre include:
Tuesdays
Metafit*, 5.30pm – 6pm, ages 14+, £3.
Bootcamp*, 7pm – 7.45pm, ages 14+, £4.
Wednesdays
Pop up sports, 6.30pm – 7.30pm, ages 14+, £1.
Fridays
Junior tennis, 4pm – 5pm, ages 8+, £2.
Family games, 5pm – 6pm, all ages, £1 per child, parents play free.
* For bootcamp and Metafit exercise classes all under 15s must be accompanied by an adult.
The winter programme runs until 12th April and full details are on www.durham.gov.uk/parklife.
After that, events will move out to parks with the start of the spring and summer programme, which runs until 25th September.
There is also an outdoor Easter schedule with an event at Hackworth Park, Shildon on 8th April.
Marie Urwin, sport and physical activity development officer, Durham County Council said, “These sessions are all about having a go at a range of sports that all the family can enjoy and we are delighted they are continuing. Hundreds of people have taken part and we are looking forward to welcoming new people on the road to fitness for the New Year.
“We will soon be announcing the new spring and summer programme with a huge range of activities.”
