Parents of pupils at Timothy Hackworth Primary School are being encouraged to use a voluntary one-way system when dropping their children off at school.
The system was launched on Wednesday 3rd December in the hopes of easing the congestion around the school and making the area safer for pedestrians – an issue which has been raised several times at local PACT meetings.
Drivers dropping off and picking up their children are asked to enter by Oxford Street and leave by Ruskin Avenue, onto Diamond Street and back onto Byerley Road.
Head Teacher at the school, Mrs Dockray commented, “Please support us in ensuing our children have the right to be safe.”
