Shildon Railway Cricket Club commences a new life in the North Yorkshire and South Durham Premiere Cricket League this weekend with the second team leading the way, playing their first game on Sunday (12th April) at Stokesley.
The first team start their fixtures the following Saturday with a trip to Wolviston.
The club is looking for someone to act as scorer for the second team for which reasonable expenses are paid.
Anyone interested in the position should contact John Brennan on 01388 777184. The two junior teams at Under 18 and Under 15 level are expecting their fixture lists to be issued by the weekend.
