May we introduce to you the new Cleves Cross Primary and Nursery School Ambassadors for Community Change, writes Glenys Newby of Approach Too.
Their first job last week was to meet with the amazing Colin from Livin to plan work for two areas outside the school. Last year, shrubs were removed, and in a few weeks, mixed season bulbs will be planted which will flower at different times of the year. Colin explained to the Ambassadors that not only will this look great, but it will also stop shrubs creating damage to the bungalow walls.
The Ambassadors also found out that the winter prune will be starting November and this year they are going to cut back harder than usual to invigorate growth at a reasonable height. (Reduce the height of the shrubs that are too high.) It’s really great to have Stephen, Maebh, Avarni, Jake, Savannah and Thomas on board to help to make positive changes in Ferryhill.
