Bishop Auckland Music Society’s second concert of the 2022 season will take place at 7.30pm on Friday 6 May at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church.
Performing will be Annemarie Federie on horn and Dafydd Chapman on piano.
At the age of seventeen, Annemarie won the Brass category final of 2020 BBC Young Musician competition.
In 2021 she won joint first prize at the Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award and was a semi -finalist at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
Dafydd is at the Royal Academy of Music studying classical piano.
He spent most of his childhood studying at the junior Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
He won numerous prizes there, most notably the 2015 Junior Conservatoire Concerto Competition, perfoming Chopin’s Concerto No.1.
The programme will include music from Beethoven, Glazunov, Debussy, Shumann, Bowen, Strauss, Back and Dukas.
