MOD’s Summer Show was spectacular

Ministry of Dance held their Summer Show on Saturday 27th July at Ferryhill Sports & Social Club.

Owners of the dance school Lisa Overend & Kirsty Mason said, “It was an opportunity to perform in front of family and friends, with a chance to thank them for their support and finish our dance year by showcasing all of the hard-work and dedication from every one of our dancers”

“Big thanks to Mark and Emma at Ferryhill Club, for allowing us to use the venue throughout the week of rehearsals and our summer show.”

More than 120 people turned up to show their support, which was absolutely fantastic for a dance school that was only formed just over 18 months ago.

Located in Ferryhill, at St Lukes Parish Centre, they offer dance lessons across a range of styles – from street dance to lyrical to contemporary.

Working in the local community, MOD’s aim is to give kids an opportunity to learn to dance in a safe environment, whilst making new friends and express themselves.

“It’s been an amazing last 18 months or so, which was a lot of work and dedication, but it makes it all worthwhile to see our dancers on stage performing in front of their family and friends. We want to grow our dance school, whilst keeping true to our aim giving all kids an opportunity to dance.

“We’ll be starting our new dance season in September, so please help spread the word about Ministry of Dance, as we’d love to gain more dancers to become part of the MOD family”, said Lisa and Kirsty.

“Huge thanks to our amazing dance teachers, Emma Waugh and Lexi Mason, as well as all of our dancers, and their family and friends for their ongoing support”
