Year 2 pupils from Chilton Primary School helped to brighten up their village when they planted bulbs on land near their school on Wednesday 18th October.
This is the 7th year in a row pupils from the school have taken part in bulb planting, which looks set to be an annual tradition. Bulbs have already been planted in the main street and the surrounding area by Scott Elwood of SE Landscapes, who was on-hand to share his expertise with the 6 and 7 year-olds.
Mayor of Chilton, Tonya Duprey, also took part in the fun activity.
The children enthusiastically planted approximately 4,000 daffodil and tulip bulbs.
A spokesperson for Chilton Town Council said, “Hope- fully the children and resi- dents will enjoy the array of colour when the bulbs ower in the spring.
“We would also like to thank the 45 Chilton Primary School children, Cllr Duprey, Scott from SE Landscapes and all those involved in the bulb planting.”
