When the curtain rises on The Tearaways Youth Theatre Group’s pantomime, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ later this month, the stars of the show will include a lot of talented youngsters from The Bishop Auckland area.
These include Abi and Sarah Reese as the idiot duo, Muck and Bubbles, and Emma Burnett as Mrs Bear. Laura Smart is one of seven talented young choregraphers, while Charlotte and Eleanor Murphy, Bethany Ridley, Emma Brookes, Stephanie Chapman and Megan Smart form part of the dance troupes.
Annie Raine, Stephanie Robertson and Ryan Robertson, along with sixteen other singers, will be lending their vocals to the foot-tapping music in the show, while young Joshua Holmes helps supply some of the comedy during the two-hour panto, along with Rebecca Quinn, who plays ‘Bossy’, Beauty’s sister.
The four performances of the show will take place at Shildon’s Civic Hall on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd January at 7.30pm, and Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th at 2.00pm.
Tickets are priced at £4 for adults and £2.50 for children and concessions and must be pre-booked by calling 01388 774838 or 07747826324.
