The Ferryhill community is noticing the difference to their local surroundings as its young people have completed their latest litter pick.
They have collected 20 bags of litter which have included cans of alcohol, energy drinks, disposable vapes, fast food litter, disposable coffee cups, scratch cards, takeaway bakery bags and sweet and crisp wrappers. One young person collected two bags of litter from shrubs and bushes around his area and was amazed that the litter had been trapped for such a long time.
Glenys from Approach Too said: “Don’t forget, if you would like to help keep Ferryhill clean and tidy, you can borrow litter picking equipment at Ferryhill Town Hall.
