The final leek show of the season took place at Elm Road WMC on Saturday 17th September.
Brian Walton won the pot leek section with 199 cubic inches. His son Mark was 2nd with 150, and Michael Graham was 3rd with 147.
Brian also won the long leeks and Michael the intermediate leek.
Brian also did well in the veg section, winning the tray of veg, three flat bottomed onions, twodressed onions and the celery.
Gary Richardson won the two fresh pulled onions, the shallots and the tomatoes.
D Redfern won both the long and stump carrots and the parsnips.
In the flower section Ian Kitching won 7 stands, the vase of flowers, the small decs, the small, medium and large cactus, the five dahlias and the poms.
John Nicholson won the gladioli and the asters.
Arnie Bedingfield won the members’ vase of flowers and the buttonhole carnation while Vince Clarkson won the buttonhole rose.
