St John’s Church in Kirk Merrington is hosting a Christmas Coffee morning on Tuesday, 10 December at 10am. There will be coffee, cake and a Christmas raffle.
Other important dates coming up in the church calendar include:
Sunday 15 December – A Christingle Service at 3pm.
Tuesday, 24 December – Holy Communion and Carols at 7pm.
Sunday, 29 December – St John’s Patronal Service at 10am followed by coffee.
Sunday 5 January 2025 – Epiphany Service at 11am. People are invited to bring gifts to this service for a ‘baby shower’ which will go to the food bank. Nappies are not preferred as they are too bulky to store.
Other services are 11am on Sundays.
Meanwhile, the first coffee morning in the new year will be on 14 January, and if people would like to bring baby shower goods for that they will be very gratefully received, as will other goods for the Spennymoor Food Bank.
