Gleeson Homes and Livin celebrate progress at All Saints development

Completion of the development is expected around Spring 2027.

Gleeson Homes, the leading builder of high-quality homes at great value, and Housing Association Livin announce that work is progressing well on the second phase of the All Saints development in Ferryhill, County Durham, with the first bricks now being laid.

Since construction works began during Summer 2025, significant progress has been made, with most of the groundworks now complete. The brick frames of the homes will soon become visible, signalling the next exciting stage of construction.

Phase 2 of the development is well underway, with completion expected around Spring 2027. In total, the partnership will deliver 53 homes for Housing Association Livin, providing a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, as well as two-bedroom bungalows for social rent and Rent-to-Buy. Most homes on the development will feature modern layouts and Air Source Heat Pump technology, providing energy-efficient living that will save buyers money on their energy bills.

The first phase of the development, comprising 100 homes, is also available to the open market, with prices starting from £165,995 for a two-bedroom semi-detached home. Show homes at the development were launched to the public in November 2025, and prospective buyers can now view two and three-bedroom show homes that showcase Gleeson’s modern, practical layouts.

The partnership brings together Livin’s expertise in social housing and community investment with Gleeson’s proven track record in building homes that meet local needs. Livin, a not-for-profit housing association based in County Durham, manages over 8,800 homes across the region and is committed to creating vibrant, sustainable communities.

Sean Brodie, Executive Director of Finance and Investment at Livin Housing said: ‘The All Saints phase 2 development represents a step forward in our ambition to deliver high‑quality, affordable homes for our communities. It showcases our commitment to innovation, sustainability and creating neighbourhoods people can be proud of, supported by the delivery expertise of our partner, Gleeson Homes.’”

Scott Stothard, Divisional Chair at Gleeson Homes, said: “Our partnership with Livin at All Saints demonstrates our shared commitment to creating affordable housing opportunities for everyone. Seeing the first bricks laid is a proud moment for both teams and marks the beginning of homes taking shape for families to enjoy for generations.”

Gleeson and Livin remain dedicated to expanding access to sustainable, affordable housing and shaping communities that people are proud to call home.
