A “drop in” to provide stop smoking support has recently started in Shildon.
The sessions are held between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday mornings, at the Jubilee Fields Community Centre.
This NHS service is run by a specialist stop smoking advisor, who will be able to guide you through your quit attempt week by week, and provide a three month programme of stop smoking products on prescription for you. It will be important to attend the sessions regularly.
A spokesperson commented, “New quitters are always welcome. Come along soon to find out more about the service, or telephone in advance, to register with the service on the Freephone number below.”
Please note that because of staff holiday, the session will not take place on Monday 22nd July.
Contact the NHS stop smoking service on Freephone 08000 113 405 or Jubilee Fields Community Centre on 01388 775425.
