Funding secures specialist cleaning equipment

County Councillor, Joe Quinn, contributed £6,645 from his Neighbourhood Town Budget to enable the purchase of a road sweeper and jet wash machine.

Ferryhill Town Council has expressed its gratitude to County Councillor Joe Quinn for contributing £6,645 from his Neighbourhood Budget allocation via the 4Together Partnership, to enable specialist equipment to be purchased that will aid town council staff in cleaning up the town.

The new equipment, comprising a road sweeper and jet wash machine will be used by staff to carry out deep cleaning of the council’s recreation facilities and street furniture, removing the general build-up of detritus that accumulates, and to carry out rapid removal of graffiti and dog waste.

Councillor Quinn said: “I am only too pleased to be able to support Ferryhill Town Council in their clean-up operation.

“By contributing funds to enable specialist cleaning machinery to be purchased, it is envisaged that a significant difference can be made to the aesthetic appearance of the town’s parks and recreation facilities.”
