From £50 budget to US TV: Dean Midas’ horror shorts head to HorrorHound TV

Award-winning low-budget horror film director Dean Midas received some amazing news from America overnight.

His horror shorts Christmas Eve & The Review have been officially selected for inclusion on HorrorHound TV, a streaming platform dedicated exclusively to independent horror!

Since 2005, HorrorHound has stood as one of the most recognised names in genre entertainment, spanning publishing, music, live events, and streaming. HorrorHound TV represents the brand’s commitment to preserving the spirit of independent horror while offering UK and international fans continuous access to groundbreaking genre cinema.

HorrorHound TV announced:

“We’re excited to share your films with horror fans around the world and look forward to welcoming them to the HorrorHound TV library as part of our September 2, 2026 new release lineup.”

Dean Midas said: “We are absolutely thrilled to bring this chapter of the Midasverse to horror fans globally! A huge thank you to the incredible cast, crew, and everyone who continues to support our horror journey.”

This fantastic news also arrives just as Christmas Eve hits 110,000 views across all platforms, not bad for a film made on a £50 budget.

Dean is also working on his new horror short, The Stitcher (out 2 October), and a brand-new print-and-play Eve Valentine game (out 4 September).
