Four new black belts at Salamander

Receiving their black belts were Helen, Lola, Harry and John, accompanied by coach, Scott.

Local Taekwondo club, Salamander, has four new black belts after its members travelled to Doncaster for their grading last month and all passed, receiving their black belts after years of dedication and commitment to their training.

A week later, four younger members travel to Barnsley to compete in a 1-2-1 competition. The competitions allow members to gain invaluable experience and an opportunity to showcase their newly developed skills.

Coaches Scott and Simone said they were incredibly proud of their students pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and showing great progress.

Salamander Taekwondo run classes every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Anyone interested in joining or finding out more about the club can contact 07497 454400 for more information.
