Week 12 of the first round of the Shildon AFC Supporters Club Lotto has produced the first winners of the jackpot prize.
The numbers drawn during the interval break in the Supporters’ Club quiz night last Sunday evening were: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
97 tickets came within one number of winning the £950 jackpot prize, but two lucky players did match the winning combination.
A spokesperson for the Lotto committee said, “We are delighted to extend our congratulations to jackpot winners, Norman Nash and Vera Thornberry, both of Shildon. Norman and Vera share the jackpot and take home £475 each.”
“Now that we have our first winners, the jackpot is reset to £400 and the numbers are reset to 6 from 20. Next week, to win the £400 jackpot, players must match the winning 6 numbers drawn from 20.”
Tickets, which are priced at £2, are available from Main Street News, the One Stop Shop on Byerley Road, the Locomotive and Grey Horse pubs, Elm Road Club (on Friday nights only) and on matchdays at Dean Street.
Tickets are also available from members of the Supporters’ Club.
