Multi-award-winning independent filmmaker Dean Midas officially commenced principal photography this week on his highly anticipated new horror short, The Stitcher.
Filming kicked off across several atmospheric and iconic locations in Durham, immediately sparking a massive buzz online.
The first day of production saw the cast and crew shooting at the historic Shakespeare Tavern, the contemporary Radisson Blu Hotel, and the atmospheric Odin’s Hoard comic book and gaming shop. These locations are set to provide a striking, atmospheric backdrop for Midas’s latest venture into his acclaimed “Midas-Verse” cinematic universe.

“I am absolutely thrilled with how our first day of filming went. The energy on set was incredible, and I want to say a massive thank you to our phenomenal cast and crew for hitting the ground running and bringing their absolute best to day one.
“There is already a huge buzz about The Stitcher, and the momentum is only growing. I am also incredibly excited to reveal that we have been given official permission to film at the prestigious Durham Regatta this June. It’s going to provide a spectacular, unique backdrop for the film, and we can’t wait to get back behind the camera.”
The Stitcher is scheduled to continue filming over the coming weeks and is safely on track for its highly anticipated premiere on YouTube this October, just in time for the Halloween season.
