Ferryhill Town Council announces new round of Members Initiative Fund

In 2022 Ferryhill Town Council launched its Members Initiative Fund (MIF) offering local community groups the opportunity to apply for funding to deliver local projects.

The initiative has proved hugely successful, and having supported 63 projects and 36 community groups since it first opened, the Town Council has agreed to open a fifth round of funding.

With a slightly different procedure than previous, the latest round of Funding will officially open on Friday 1 May and will enable local groups to apply for a grant of between £500 and £1,500.

Any group who would like to apply for a grant from Ferryhill Town Council is advised to contact Karen Younghusband, Events & Projects Officer at Ferryhill Town Council on 01740 652157 or to email kyounghusband[@]ferryhill[.]gov[.]uk in the first instance, to determine eligibility, and to obtain an application form.

Groups should be aware that funding applications for running costs are unlikely to be successful.

Additionally, any group applying for funding, who still has outstanding monitoring from a previous round of funding, will not be eligible to apply until that monitoring has been received by the Town Council.
