Ferryhill NPT Report

Ferryhill Neighbourhood Policing Team have provided the following weekly report:

Monday: Police Officers and PCSOs spent the day assisting at a tragic road traffic collision, where a man sadly lost his life.
Tuesday: Police officers from the team spent the day assisting our colleagues in Darlington with an operation targeting individuals involved in County Lines drug supply.
Friday: PCSOs Evans and Walbey spent the day at our training centre assisting with training Durham Constabulary’s next batch of PCSOs who will be arriving in their areas at the beginning of August.
Saturday: Our Police officers assisted colleagues in Newton Aycliffe with an operation around off road bikes. At the same time, our group of PCSOs assisted by six Special Constables, helped at this year’s Spennymoor Gala where PCSO Walbey spent time with some feathered friends.
Sunday: The week ended with a bang, with the team finding two wanted females within the first 30 minutes of starting their shift. One was arrested and will be put before the courts tomorrow and the other one was interviewed and released after admitting a shoplifting offence.

These are all just a sample of what the team dealt with this week, which also included dealing with four domestic-related incidents, one lost child, finding three missing adults and dealing with two vulnerable adults.

Our two drone operators were also in action in the local area using our drone which was funded by the Area Action Partnership, assisting with some of the above incidents.
