Ferryhill Town Council is inviting residents to join them in celebrating the Coronation of HM King Charles III as it hosts a Party in the Park community event to mark the occasion. The event, which will be free to attend, is being organised by Stanley Events and will be held from 12 noon until 5pm at Dean Bank Park on Sunday 7 May.
The family-friendly event will comprise a range of children’s activities including a big bouncy slide, large assault course and a bouncy castle, as well as a range of side stalls, a free crafting tent, face painting and a variety of refreshments with a licensed bar.
The event will also include live music with performances from fun-loving entertainer, Alex Hall from Sunderland and five-piece, female fronted Pop/Rock party band, Celtic Man.

A limited number of tables and chairs will be provided at the venue for residents to use on a first come first served basis. Residents are very welcome to bring a picnic along to the event, however, only sealed drinks will be permitted, and residents will not be allowed to bring their own alcohol into the venue.
Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Carole Atkinson said: “Following the success of last year’s Jubilee Party in the Park event, I am thrilled that Ferryhill Town Council has been able to organise a similar, family friendly event to mark the Coronation of HM King Charles III. The event really does promise to provide a fantastic day out for the whole family.”
