Citizens of Ferryhill, brace yourselves. Reports are flooding in that the Ferryhill Comprehensive Class of 1982 are preparing to gather once more: older, wiser, and still able to out‑laugh anyone born after 1990.
After months of top‑secret negotiations (mainly involving “Are you free that day?” and “Where sells decent lager?”), the reunion committee can now officially confirm the time and date.
Saturday 6 June, 2pm–6pm.
The Athletic Bar, Ferryhill Village Club, which has been chosen for its excellent atmosphere, sturdy furniture, and ability to withstand a wave of nostalgia.
Anyone who walked the corridors, dodged the teachers, or survived the school dinners of Ferryhill Comp in 1982 is warmly invited. Whether you were a swot, a rebel, a rocker, a netball star, or simply perfected the art of skiving without getting caught, this is your moment.
Expect tall tales, familiar faces, and the kind of laughter that should probably come with a health warning at our age.
