Unable to host this year’s Easter Egg Hunt, Ferryhill Town Council would like to invite local school children to enter a free competition to guess the number of eggs in the jar, pictured above.
The competition is in addition to the recently advertised Children’s Drawing Competition as the town council seeks to help parents and guardians keep their children active during the Coronavirus lockdown period.
The pictured jar contains a mix of Creme, Caramel, Oreo, Reese and Mini eggs.
Parents are invited to ask their children to guess the number of eggs in the jar, and email their answers to: kyounghusband@ferryhill.gov.uk by no later than 12 noon on Monday, 20th April.
Parents are asked to provide their child’s full name, age and postal address with a telephone contact. Only children from Ferryhill are eligible to enter the competition.
The jar of eggs will be delivered to the winner as soon as possible after the competition closes.
Each participant is permitted one guess only. Should more than one person guess the correct answer their names will be placed in a draw.
Town Mayor, Councillor Joe Makepeace said: “On behalf of Ferryhill Town Council, I would like to wish everyone taking part in the Competition the best of luck, and a very Happy Easter.”
