Ferryhill Banner Group’s first fund raiser of 2025 is a Bingo Evening on Saturday evening, 26 April at the Surtees Arms, Chilton Lane.
The group hope to raise the funds needed to cover transport and buffet costs for this year’s Durham Miners Gala, which takes place on Saturday, 12 July.
A spokesperson said: “Every year the Banner Group covers the cost of transport for our Ferryhill Town Band, and we also support transport costs for our supporters and provide a buffet for everyone on the day.”
“Our bingo night starts at 7:30pm and as usual it’s guaranteed to be a fun evening,
“Everyone is very welcome to attend, and it would be great to see our supporters there.
“As a group we are determined to continue parading our iconic Miners Banners in Ferryhill and at Durham Miners Gala.”
