Ferryhill Town Council has announced that the latest group to benefit from funding through its Members Initiative Fund (MIF) is Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC, who recently visited Ferryhill Town Hall, where they were presented with a cheque for £900 by Cllr John Lathan on behalf of Councillor Vicky Collins and himself, who both contributed £450 from their individual MIF allocations towards the organisation.
Endeavour Woodcrafts are a non-profit making organisation that offers a day service providing training and education for adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues, in the art of woodwork design and crafts.
Funding will be used to purchase new equipment for Endeavour’s Workshop including new drills.
Councillors John Lathan and Vicky Collins said ‘We are delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile organisation. Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC provides an invaluable service for vulnerable people in Ferryhill, and we are only too happy to support them.’
