Michael Anthony Stratton pleaded guilty before magistrates at Newton Aycliffe recently and was disqualified from driving for twelve months.
The 21 year-old, of Baysdale lose, Bishop Auckland, was seen in a Citroen Saxo car by police at 3.25am on the morning of 5th April in Hardisty Drive, Bishop Auckland. Officers became suspicious when he
drove back into Morrisons car park and switched off his engine. Stratton was fully compliant when approached by the officers and was found to be over the legally prescribed limit of alcohol. Along with the
driving ban imposed, Stratton was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 Victim Support surcharge.
