Ferryhill Town Band is thrilled to announce “Brass and Banners,” a special concert taking place at the Ferryhill Sport and Education Centre on Friday 4 July at 7:30pm.
This unique event will feature popular brass band pieces often heard at the iconic Durham Miners’ Gala.
Thanks to the generous support of the Ferryhill Banner Group, the concert will also proudly display historical miners’ banners, adding a significant visual element to the evening.

Despite facing considerable challenges in 2024, including the loss of their rehearsal space, Ferryhill Town Band has shown remarkable resilience and dedication.
Their hard work has paid off, as they’ve qualified for the National Brass Band Finals for the second consecutive year.
The band’s experience at last year’s National Finals was incredibly valuable, and they are eager to build on that success when they compete in Cheltenham on Saturday 13 September.
However, participating in the finals comes with significant costs, including travel, accommodation, and competition fees.
To ensure all band members can attend and compete at their best, Ferryhill Town Band is appealing to the community for support.
