Spennymoor Town Mayor, Cllr Liz Maddison and Consort Cllr Clive Maddison were delighted to present flowers to Alan and Myra Smith (nee Plews) on their Diamond Wedding Anniversary celebration on 14 August.
The couple were married at St Paul’s Church in Spennymoor in 1965.
They have a son Graham and daughter Lisa and seven grandchildren.
They celebrated their anniversary with family and friends at a lunchtime meal and had a thoroughly enjoyable day!
The Mayor at Home event is taking place on Saturday 13 September in Spennymoor Town Hall at 10am-12pm. It is a free event with refreshments provided, and a raffle and tombola available.
