Spennymoor Town Mayor, Cllr Ian Geldard popped in to wish Tony and Maureen Kirkup his congratulations on their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.
The Mayor presented the couple with some flowers to celebrate their special day and said: “This is a fabulous achievement for Mr and Mrs Kirkup and I am delighted to offer my congratulations to them both on behalf of the people of Spennymoor”.
The Kirkups, who have two daughters, one son, and three grandchildren celebrated their anniversary on 14 September at their home in the town.
