Cricketers’ spring clean

Shildon Railway Cricket Club’s new season is fast approaching, and in preparation the club has identified the next three Saturdays as ‘Spring Clean Days’.

“There are lots of things to be done before the first game of the season, from redecorating the dressing rooms, to repairing and painting the boundary fence,” said the club chairman.

“We need our players, supporters and members to rally round and spread the workload. Turn up when you can from 10 o’clock onwards on any or preferably each of the next three Saturdays and we’ll find something for you to do.”
