St. Johns Church in Shildon recently hosted an enchanting evening of music, featuring the Aycliffe and Brancpeth Brass Band alongside the Northern Voices choir. With over 100 attendees, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Shildon, the night was a resounding success.
The evening concluded with a rousing rendition of music from “Last Night of the Proms,” featuring classics such as “Rule Britannia,” “Land of Hope and Glory,” and “Jerusalem,” along with the National Anthem, with everyone enthusiastically joining in.
A fantastic £1140.00 was raised, with the entire amount going directly to the church funds thanks to the sponsorship by Paul and Lynne Arnold and their company, Fangdale Financial Ltd.
