The local community is buzzing with creativity, with our talented young people showing their artistic creativity as part of the broader Chilton Bikes, Boards and Brushes project, writes Sue Reece.
The workshops are funded by the Chilton Mayor’s Charity from community donations and participants aged five to sixteen years worked alongside Craft and Create North East to make some wonderful art, including eco-resin animals and glass painting.
The third and final summer session is coming up soon; the Pop Art workshop will be held in Hutton House on the 10 August 9:45am-12 noon. Places must be booked ahead of time and there is a £2 fee to cover refreshments and snacks.
These creative classes have been a hit with local families and because so many people want to join in, the Miner’s Welfare have added further workshops for all ages during the October half-term break! Residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for the October Fest activities and sign-up details so as not to miss out on the fun.
