Chilton’s Heritage Project is hosting a community drop-in weekend for residents to find out more about the restoration of pavilion parks the proposed heritage centre and digital archive.
The project – which has been funded by the Heritage Lottery, the Miners Welfare Recreation Ground (Charity Trust), The Green Energy Foundation and Livin Housing Ltd – is now underway, with the restoration work on the Pavilion building and digitising of over 10,000 physical artefacts, videos and images relating to the history of history of Chilton and Windlestone, this will “preserve our history for future generations”, making it accessible to the wider community.”
Members of the public will be invited to drop into Hutton House over the weekend of the 31st January – 1st February to view the schematic plans, talk to the project development team and find how they can be involved in preserving Chilton’s heritage as volunteers, donators and supporters.
