Chilton’s Callum ‘El Cannon’ Walton aims to climb the professional boxing rankings in his next fight in his quest to challenge for titles later this year, writes Alex Oliver.
The three-time Tyne, Tees and Wear amateur champion looks to recreate his amateur success in the professional ranks by going 4-0 in his next fight at the Rainton Arena on Saturday 16th March.
Having won his first three bouts, including one knick-out, after making a very impressive start to his professional career, ‘El Cannon’ aims to challenge for titles later in the year.
Already campaign having beaten the undefeated, Tom Ramsden, who was also 3-0, in his last contest, the future looks promising for the Brandon Boxing Club trained boxer.
After the stunning body shot KO Callum executed on his debut at the Utilita Arena last March, on the huge Lewis Ritson vs Ohara Davis bill, he is yet to lose a single round in his professional career.

The show is headlined by another local pro, Kai Richmond, who is challenging for the Lightweight Northern area title against Bishop Auckland’s Nathan Forrest.
The card also sees the long-awaited return of local world level operator, Tommy Ward following his first and only defeat on the aforementioned show last March.
