After a couple of false starts, Auckland/Chilton Croquet played a friendly match away at Bishop Monckton last week, reports Richard Peck.
As usual between the two clubs, the winners are the team who scored most hoops in total during the games instead of each individual game counting.
So step forward ACC, winning by 148 hoops to Monckton’s 117 hoops.
Meanwhile, at the weekend, the Croquet North Singles Competition took place in Middlesbrough and was won by William who has played several times for Auckland/Chilton Croquet Club.
