From 1 September 2024, 15 hours childcare will be expanded to eligible working parents with children aged 9 months old up to 3 years old.
The Department for Education is urging parents to apply as early as possible to get their childcare code. The 31 August deadline also applies to the existing 30 hours childcare for 3 and 4 year olds.
The cross-government campaign, Childcare Choices, aims to make more parents aware of the financial support on offer to help them with the costs of childcare. There is a range of other government support to help working families with the costs of childcare, including Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit Childcare.
