A special moment unfolded at Police HQ as Kinley and her family were welcomed by the Joy Allen, Durham’s Police and Crime Commissioner and Durham’s Chief Constable is Rachel Bacon to receive a brand-new iPad, writes Glenys Newby.

Kinley was the lucky winner of a draw that included all students who successfully completed the Platinum Commissioner’s Challenge: Keeping Safe Online, a Ferryhill-led initiative promoting online safety and responsible digital habits.

The event was a celebration of the dedication shown by young participants in learning how to navigate the digital world safely.

The Commissioner and Chief Constable praised Kinley’s achievement and commended all students who took part, recognising the importance of equipping young people with the skills needed to stay secure online.

Kinley and her family were delighted by the warm reception at HQ and the opportunity to meet key leaders in policing.

As they received their iPad, it was clear that this moment was not just about winning a prize, it was about highlighting the commitment to digital safety and encouraging young people and their families to be responsible online.

A huge congratulations to Kinley and all the students who took part in the challenge.
