Busy Bees have been buzzing again!

busy-beesThe Busy Bees fundraising group made a fantastic £700 between the 21st and 24th February, which was made up from a table top sale, raffle, brantub and donations.

A spokesperson for the ladies commented, “The people of Shildon always give us outstanding support and it is really appreciated. Special thanks go to the Town Council, who gave us the use of the Rest House for free, which was certainly a big help and we hope to have use of it again in the future! “Remember our funds are shared out to lots of local charities such as Butterwick Hospice, Air Ambulance, Breast Cancer, Alzheimers, St. John’s Church, Salvation Army, Triple Appeal, Freeman’s Hospital Heart Unit, Samaritans, Zoe’s Baby Hospice, Help for Heroes, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Centre Stage, James Cook Baby Unit, Large Productions, Scouts, Anthony Nolan Trust, North East Cyber Surgery, Stockton Sea Cadets, NSPCC and SENSE (deaf and blind people).”

The group are looking for (old and new) clothes, shoes, hats, belts, handbags and unwanted gifts for brantubs and raffles, as well as any bottles of cheer for a bottle raffle.
