As the festive season approaches, Bright Futures Ferryhill CIC community pantry are busy preparing for what is set to be hopefully the busiest time of year, writes a Bright Futures Ferryhill CIC spokesperson.
The community pantry is open to everyone — and the more people who use it, the more we can support families who are in need. The pantry offers a range of essential items, from food staples to household goods, available to anyone who wishes to shop there.
By coming along, you’re not only supporting yourself but also helping to keep the shelves stocked and the service running for others in the community. Every visit helps us qualify for more supplies and funding, which means we can reach even more families during the winter months.
With Christmas just around the corner, demand is growing, and we’re also appealing for donations of food, toiletries and cleaning products to help spread a little cheer. We’re currently also looking for a volunteer driver to help collect and deliver donations — a small role that makes a big difference.
