The Bishop Auckland Fundraising Group of Marie Curie would like to thank all those green fingered garden lovers who visited the wonderful garden at Woodside House in Witton Park recently. The weather was kind, the garden was blooming marvellously and the tea and cakes were a delight!
Most thanks, however, are due to the generosity of Jean and Trevor Crompton for allowing the Marie Curie Group to use their delightful garden to raise a magnificent £1,200 which will be used to provide ‘end of life care’ in the Bishop Auckland area.
The Group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1.30pm at St. Mary’s Church on Woodhouse Lane, Bishop Auckland. New members are always welcome. For further information contact Elizabeth Varley (01388) 606075.
