Blade Taekwondo GBR, located in Bishop Middleham Village Hall, have received a new round of funding.
They recently came second in a voting scheme set up by Amanda Scott from the Asda Spennymoor Asda Foundation green tokens rewards.
“Delighted”
A spokesperson said, “We are delighted to receive £400 from this scheme, after voting every week for three months.
“Blade Taekwondo has been working hard to improve the size and reputation of our club, nationally and worldwide.
“Not only have they been holding classes with nearly 30 students every week, but Lead Instructor, Corey Wilson, has been competing at major championships around the country throughout 2022.
“We also received a £1,500 grant from Adsa Spennymoor in the summer of 2022. We used it to buy new equipment, making training much more efficient and fun for our students and athletes.
“We are looking forward to the year ahead, with gradings and competitions planned at Blade Taekwondo, and much more fun training on the way.”
Blade Taekwondo train twice a week, with classes on Mondays and Saturdays, as well as availability for private tuition on Fridays.
