Do you know a special young person who has done something outstanding which should be recognised?
You could make a young person’s year special by nominating them for the Bishop Auckland Youth Awards.
The awards are run by Bishop Auckland Town Council and an awards ceremony will be held in June at the Town Hall.
It is very easy to nominate someone and there are no categories.
You can nominate anyone from Bishop Auckland who is under the age of 20 and who is worthy of a special award.
Do you know any young people who:
- Care for friends or family members?
- Have carried out an act of bravery?
- Help in their local community?
- Have overcome their own difficulties?
- Live with an illness?
- Achieve great things in sport, dance and drama or at school?
To nominate, just send Bishop Auckland Town Council the following information: Your name and contact details; the young person’s name and age; contact details for the young person (or their parents, school or group if that is more appropriate); around 200 words on why you think the young person deserves special recognition.
Send your nominations by email to council@bishopauckland-tc.gov.uk or by post to Bishop Auckland Town Council, The Four Clocks Centre, 154a Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, Co Durham DL14 7EH.
All nominations must be received by 5pm on Friday 1st May.
