Bishop Auckland Music Society concert season set for launch

Trio Havisham will launch this year’s BAMS concert season.

A new season of concerts from BAMS approaches and again, we are excited to bring you young, nationally and internationally recognised artists who will perform a varied program of music over the course of the year, writes Ellen Beaumont.

Do remember that children are welcome to attend free of charge and they will have the opportunity to meet the artists.

We start the season at 7.30pm on Friday 4 April in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church (opposite Bishop Auckland General Hospital), by welcoming Trio Havisham whose program includes: Haydn: Piano Trio in F sharp minor; Elliot Carter: Epigrams; Brahms: Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor, Op. 101 and Schubert: Piano Trio No. 1 in B flat major.

Trio Havisham is an award-winning ensemble, founded by Zany Denyer and Magdalena Riedl in 2019, with Seth Collin joining in 2024.

A full season ticket includes membership and all concerts for £70.

Single concert tickets purchased in advance either from Brotherton’s or direct from our Treasurer, Brian Varley (01388 606075) for £17.50.

Individual concert tickets purchased on the door are £20 while young people aged 18 or under are free of charge.
