The weather managed to brake for long enough last week to allow Shildon to exact revenge for their Durham Challenge Cup thrashing at the hands of Bishops.
This time it was the two blues on the wrong end of a difficult half, in which Shildon blitzed Bishops young defence.
Darren Richardson managed to find an equalizer to Shildon’s early strike, before the home side ran in five more unanswered goals before half time. Shildon coming in at the break 6-1 up.
The second half was a more even affair, but the damage had already been done. A deserved win for Shildon, the game finishing a disappointing 7-1.
The defeat leaves Bishops languishing in a troubling 19th position.
