Bishop Auckland church to host final 750th Anniversary Concert

St Andrew’s Church was consecrated 750 years ago, in 1274.

Everyone is invited to St Andrew’s Church in South Church, Bishop Auckland for a final celebration concert marking its 750th anniversary on Friday 13 September, when Well-Versed Community Choir will entertain.

The Choir specialises in pop, rock, soul and jazz music, singing both acappella and accompanied arrangements of classic songs from the 1950’s to the present day.

St Andrew’s Church stands as a testament to 750 years of history. Consecrated in 1274, its walls resonate with the echoes of time, embodying a legacy of community.

The concert provides a unique opportunity to experience a blend of musical excellence and community spirit in a setting steeped in history.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start and refreshments will be served during the interval.

Tickets, priced at £7, can be purchased at Brotherton’s Music in Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland or you can pay on the door.
